Phew, today was a little bit of a rough day guys.
Everyone seemed a little tired and stressed.
By the end of the day we had a couple meltdowns about pencils that weren't sharpened or being told to sit down or having to wait our turn.
None of the kids had to move their name down the behavior chart at all because it was just an overall classroom rough day. There's definitely no need to worry about anything specific. I think the kids are just getting comfortable, pushing the rules a little bit, still adjusting to the schedule, tired and a little antsy. That's totally reasonable!
We had some calm read aloud time at the end of the day to de-stress and we agreed that today was a little hard for everyone and tomorrow will be a better day.
So if your kids come home mentally and emotionally worn out - that's why.
They are working so hard and doing such a good job. I am so, so proud of them. I can't wait for tomorrow so that we can all have a much better day.
Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions or concerns about anything.
